Using electronic cigarettes isn’t outright forbidden, but it’s not exactly encouraged either. Some religious scholars consider it to be wasteful and suggest that it’s a habit associated with less righteous people. Even though it’s technically allowed (Makroh e Tanzihi), it’s generally better to avoid it.
Smoking an electric cigarette is permissible per se, however, it is not permissible like eating and drinking, but it is a habit of non-peaceful people, so some jurists have called it Makruh (Tanzihi), and there is also extravagance in it. Should be avoided.
