Allah made Adam, gave him knowledge and free will and then obliged him to worship him, as it is mentioned in the Holy Quran:
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me…. (51:56)
Allah answers this in the Qur’a,”وماخلقت الجن والانس الا لیعبدون”I have created jinns and humans for my worship.
To worship Allah.
Allah says in the:
Quran – Surah No. 51 الذاريات
Ayah No. 56
أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوۡنِ (56)
“And I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except that they should worship Me.”
