In the Holy Qur’an, in verse 34 of Surah Nisa, Allah Almighty has mentioned three ways of correcting a disobedient wife in order:

That is, if the woman is disobedient or there is concern about disobedience on her part, then the first level of correction is to gently explain to her. She should feel the displeasure of her husband from this separation and repent of her actions. In the Holy Quran, there is the phrase  ” فِی المْضَاجِعِ ” For this purpose, the jurists have written that the separation should be only in the bed, not to separate the house. If he leaves the woman alone in the house, there is a greater fear of corruption. There is a narration from a Sahabi:

I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “What right do our wives have over us?” He said: “When you eat, feed them, and when you clothe them, clothe them, and do not hit them on the face. If you want to separate from her, only do that (separate the bed) and do not separate the house.”

And if the woman is not affected by this punishment, then it is also permissible to beat her lightly, which does not affect her body, and does not lead to breaking a bone or injury, and hitting on the face is absolutely prohibited.

So in a Hadith of “Bukhari Sharif”:

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that a man should not beat his wife like a slave because it is not proper for him to beat her first and then fulfill his desire with her on the last day.”

Also, on the occasion of Hajjat-ul-Wada, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in his sermon:

Sulaiman bin Hazrat Amr bin Ahwas says that he joined the Prophet in the Farewell Hajj. Take the will (from me); because they are prisoners with you, you do not own anything from them except your physical needs, except that they commit open immorality, and if they do so, leave them alone in their beds (i.e., do not join with you), and beat them, but do not beat them hard (to break a bone or rib). Then if they accept your word, then do not find another way for them. Your right is over the women, and the right of your women. It is upon you, upon your wives, that you do not let him tread your bed whom you dislike (i.e., do not let him enter your house without your permission and will), and do not allow him whom you dislike to enter your house. Give, and listen! They have this right over you that you treat them well in giving them clothes and food.
