Gelatin is halal if it is obtained from halal animals and the animal has been slaughtered according to Shariah manner, and the thing in which it is used also should be halal, and If it is obtained from haram animals, or if it is obtained from a halal dead animal, it is forbidden to use it, and the thing in which it is used is also not halal. If it is known that a thing contains halal gelatin or if it is not known but it is certified by an authorized halal certification body, then it is permissible to use it, and until it is unknown. Avoidance is better.
It depends upon the source and way of its production
gelatin in Islamic dietary laws halal depends on its source and how it’s processed . if the processing method used to extract the gelatin meet halal. requirments then it may be considered halal
Is gelatin halal in Islam depending on the source of gelatin. If Gelatine is from fish or cows that are slaughtered according to the Islamic way then it is halal. If gelatine is created from pigs or dead animals or animals that are not slaughtered in the Islamic way consider it haram. As a Muslim it is important to confirm before consuming any gelatine contain product.
