The classification of surahs into Makki and Madani is based on their place of revelation. The ones revealed in Makkah are called Makki, and the ones revealed in Madinah are called Madani. Certain surahs are recommended from the Quran to be recited to seek protection from evil people and harm. Here are some of them
1. Surah Al Falaq
Surah Al Falaq is specifically for protection from the evil of what Allah has created, including the evil of people, envy, and other different types of harm.
2. Surah An Nas
Surah An Nas also protects us from the evil of whispers and harm from jinn and humans.
3. Surah Al Ikhlas
While Surah Al Ikhlas is primarily about the oneness of Allah. It is often recited with Surah Al Falaq and Surah An Nas together for comprehensive protection.
4. Surah Al Baqarah
I also recommend the last two ayat of Surah Al Baqarah Ayat 285-286 for protection from evil people.
Reciting these surahs regularly Allah protects them from evil people.
